On a self-guided tour of the Asinerie (approx. 45 mins), come and meet the donkeys and their Poitevin cousins, draught horses and mules, and take a look behind the scenes at the Asinerie's museum area and outdoor trail.
Located on the typical Saintonge farm of La Tillauderie, a bucolic spot on the edge of the forest and a stone's throw from the charming village of Dampierre-sur-Boutonne, the Asinerie opens its doors onto a 55-hectare protected natural area.
Opening hours
6 January to 21 February: Monday to Friday, by prior arrangement.
22 February to 9 March: daily, 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm.
10 March to 31 March: Monday to Friday, by prior arrangement.
1 April to 30 September: daily, 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm (6.30pm in July and August).
1 October to 17 October: Monday to Friday, by prior arrangement.
From 18 October to 2 November: daily from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm.
From 3 November to 19 December: Monday to Friday, by prior arrangement.
