La Rochelle Ocean Pass, initiated by La Rochelle Tourism and Events, is member of 1% for the Planet. An easily recognizable label with a simple message: we return 1% of the annual turnover generated by the pass to environmental associations.
ENCOURAGE CUSTOMS MOBILITIES & REDUCING CARBON IMPACT
La Rochelle Ocean Pass allows visitors to travel smoothly in the destination thanks to a unlimited access to public transport Yelo de l'agglomeration de La Rochelle (bus, ferry and sea bus). It also makes it possible to use the TER in the direction of Châtelaillon-Plage, Aytré, Angoulins or Jarrie and since 2025 it has included 10 regional bus lines. An incentive for soft mobility to experience in and around the agglomeration.
One 10% discount is also applied on the pass for passengers arriving by train, coach or bicycle*, on presentation of a dated supporting document. The aim is to encourage the reduction of the carbon footprint of travellers. Coming in holidays in Charente-Maritime and soaking up La Rochelle and its surroundings is quite possible using public transport.

This means that we avoid the massive production of plastic cards and cardboard card holders. This makes less waste from the pass (paper, plastics, etc.). The Office de tourisme de l'agglomeration de la Rochelle tries to limit the production and distribution of brochures and paper or plastic products.
