Built around 1770, the Château de Buzay, with its period furniture, evokes a certain charm and bears witness to the art of living that La Rochelle enjoyed when privileged links were established between its port and the colonies of the New World. Its unique architecture, with perfectly proportioned lines, makes it a model of harmony. As for the park of the castle, it constitutes a real jewel case, arranged according to the landscape rules of the 19th century. This castle has been owned by the same family since the first stone was laid by Pierre-Etienne Harouard, Lieutenant of the Admiralty of La Rochelle, in 1771.
